Getting there:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lake Bled is easily accessible from the major cities in Slovenia. Our starting point is always Maribor and it takes us less than 2 hours to drive there. However, from Ljubljana the drive is shortened by about an hour by car. Equally important if you prefer public transportation, there are regular buses and trains available as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stroll around Lake Bled:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After arriving in Bled, it is imperative that you take a stroll around the river. There are many hotels, restaurants and shops directly by the lake. Not to mention plenty of benches conveniently placed around the lake to sit on for a short break to enjoy the crystal blue water. Moreover it is possible to swim in the lake but only in certain areas; and yes you can even go around the whole lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a matter of fact Bled is the home to this popular cream cake, almost every caf\u00e9 serves it.
